Design and In-Room Amenities
When designing the room decor and furnishings, we blended the home’s beautiful architectural features with historic colors and thoughtfully selected contemporary furniture and little touches. Our goal is always to provide our guests with exquisite comfort while enjoying all our modern amenities.
Your spacious room is filled with unique, and in some places local artwork, multiple sources of light (natural, overhead and lamplight), mirrors, and either a closet or suitable space for hanging clothes. Depending on the room you select, you’ll find a beautiful view through the fully restored original windows, an antique claw-foot bathtub, or even a friendly spirit! Each room has a seating area, and in anticipation of work-from-home needs most rooms have a small work space.
Only the finest fabrics and materials were selected for our guest rooms. With sustainability and luxury as our main goals we use cotton and polyester linens, down alternative duvets and pillows, and bamboo cotton bath towels.
Our rooms either have a king or queen bed, dressed with luxurious bedding and quilted duvets in the extra-hygienic triple sheeting method. For cooler nights, you’ll also have a 100% organic cotton blanket.
Beds are completed with a plush mattress and four plush or firm pillows, adding to the decadence and relaxation. Enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep with complete darkness, as each room has custom cordless venetian blinds and drapes with blackout light control.
BATH AND PERSONAL CARE
Each ensuite bath has a fully tiled shower, and if you’re selecting the Legacy Room or Spencer Suite, you’ll also enjoy a bathtub. We stock each guest room with bamboo cotton bath towels, two of our signature bathrobes, as well as slippers for your use during your stay.
Feel pampered with our selection of personal care products. We always strive to be more eco-conscious and are proud to offer Beekman 1802 Fresh Air shampoo, conditioner, hand and body soaps, and body lotion. We use refillable containers and try to limit our use of disposable plastic products.
Your room is equipped with a hair dryer, and we have an iron and ironing board available on request.
SMART FEATURES
The Willis-James appreciates technology, and we know our guests appreciate having the newest smart features available in-room. The guest room door locks are keyless. For your safety, you will receive a private code upon check-in. Each room has individually controlled heat and air conditioning for your own regulation. All rooms offer flat-screen HD Smart TVs, equipped with other Apps for your enjoyment.
Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the property and in-room, and you’ll receive the password upon check-in. Each guest room has a Cubietime® alarm clock providing you with the convenience of charging your devices at the nightstand.
